Engine wont start

                                          Mobile mechanic help.

Engine will not rotate or turn over when attempting to start

1.Check connections at battery, loose or corroded terminals
2.Battery discharged or faulty if the battery terminals are clean and tight it is very possible that the battery has no charge use a proper multimeter to check the volts or have a mechanic check it for you.
3. Automatic transmission not fully engaged in park or clutch not completely depressed
4.Broken or loose connections at the starter solenoid or starter circuit or ignition switch
5.Starter solenoid faulty
6.Starter motor faulty
7.Faulty ignition switch
8.Antitheft system activated
9.Using wrong key type some people make copies of their keys and forget that certain vehicles have micro chips inside the key you can’t see causing the anti theft system to kick in causing the starting system to shut down. Fords are known for this the black plastic on the top of the key has a chip inside you cannot see and the copy blank looks identical to the original except there’s no chip inside check to see if your anti theft light is on in the dashboard..

10.Did you change your steering column or ignition this will set off the anti theft on Cadillac’s and some general motors’ vehicles take car to the dealer or find a locksmith who can set the codes back some lock smiths can do this if you have the original key with chip.
